3Ls Brett Swanson and Adam Bluestein advanced to the Octofinals at the Dean Jerome Prince Memorial Evidence Competition at Brooklyn Law School on March 30.
The pair also won the award for Second Place Brief at the competition, which included 36 teams from law schools around the U.S. This year, the case fictitious case involved allegations that a congressional candidate’s campaign team agreed to pay for emails stolen from a political rival’s campaign by hackers from a foreign country.
The students were coached by the Moot Court Board’s faculty advisers, Assistant U.S. Attorney Veronica Finkelstein, a member of the adjunct faculty, and Senior Associate Dean Kevin Oates.
