Professionals in the Career Strategies Office are playing key roles this spring at the National Association for Law Placement, NALP.
Associate Dean Donna Gerson co-chaired “Re-imagining Recruiting,” a Design Thinking Workshop, which was held in Washington, D.C. on March 14 and 15. The workshop, also called the NALPathon, put law students, employers and career placement professionals together in teams to brainstorm innovative approaches that would benefit all sides of the recruiting process. 2L Ricki Abrams also took part in the workshop.
Gerson will speak at two panels at NALP’s 2019 Annual Education Conference in San Diego in April. She will moderate a panel, “Compliance Careers: Breaking In and Advancing Professionally,” and she will serve on a panel aimed at improving career strategies offices.
Amy Weiss, the director of private sector and government employment in the CSO, will speak on a panel on “Public Sector Interviewing” at the conference.
And Elizabeth Dunn, the director of career and professional development at the CSO, has been elected a conference planning coordinator for NALP’s 2019-20 conference, which will be held in Montreal. Dunn will represent law schools in the Mid-Atlantic region.
