Professor Tabatha Abu El-Haj is a featured presenter at “Geography, Identity & Campaign Finance,” the 13th Annual Symposium of the William & Mary Election Law Society on March 21.
The symposium will explore the impact of out-of-state political donations on our democracy and the degree to which courts should respect state sovereignty in campaign finance.
Abu El-Haj will join George Washington University School of Law Professor David Fontana, Campaign Legal Center Senior Director Tara Malloy and Brennan Center for Justice Senior Counsel Daniel I. Weiner on the panel.
As a scholar who focuses on increasing accountability and responsiveness in government, Abu El-Haj is the author of “Networking the Party: First Amendment Rights & the Pursuit of Responsive Party Government,” which was published in Columbia Law Review in 2018.
