Professor Amy Landers presented at the 12th International Workshop on Design Theory in Paris on Jan. 28-29.
Landers discussed “Creativity and the Patent System” at the event, which drew participants from universities around the world, including Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Rennes School of Business, University of Liechtenstein, University of Zagreb, Nottingham University Business School, Stanford University and Texas Tech.
The workshop was hosted by MINES Paris Tech, an engineering school at PSL Université, created in 1783 by King Louis XVI. It was co-sponsored by Institut Interdisciplinaire de l'Innovation, the Design Society and Design Theory and Methods for Innovation.
The director of the Intellectual Property Law program, Landers is an authority on patent law and the author of “Understanding Patent Law,” now in its third edition.
