Professor Jordan Fischer was a presenter at the American Bar Association Cyberspace Law Institute and Winter Working Meeting held at Stetson University College of Law on Jan. 25.
Fischer spoke at a roundtable on “The Shared Responsibility Model: Balancing Liability in a Matrix of Service Providers.” The session explored the extent to which companies increasingly rely on an information infrastructure supported by a network of third-party providers, complicating the management of security and privacy.
The event attracted scores of attorneys from across the U.S. as well as Canada and Scotland.
A co-founder and managing partner of XPAN Law Group LLC, Fischer is an expert on the convergence of law and technology who provides legal guidance in the balance of business growth and development as well as data management, network assessments and cybersecurity best practices. She teaches EU Data Privacy Law and European Union Law.
Fischer, who received her JD from the Kline School of Law in 2013, is a certified CIPP-E (Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe).
