Moot Court Team Gives Best Oral Argument, Advances to Nationals

Moot Court Board Board members Emilee Siegl and Savannah Merceus were one of two top teams in the Saul Lefkowitz Trademark Law Moot Court Competition regional rounds in New York.

 

Siegl and Merceus also received the award for Best Oral Argument.

 

Both 3Ls, the students will advance to the national competition in March, which will be held in Washington, D.C. 

 

They were coached by Emily A. Denisco, ’17, a technical adviser at Volpe & Koenig in Center City, and Gary Levin of BakerHostetler. 

 

The Lefkowitz Competition is an annual event honoring Saul Lefkowitz, whose career was dedicated to the development of trademark and unfair competition law.  Approximately 80 teams of law students participate each year. The regional rounds take place in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.
