’09 Alumna Sworn in as Magisterial District Judge in Monroe County

The Hon. Danielle Travagline, ’09, was sworn in as magisterial district judge in Coolbaugh Township.

The Jan. 2 swearing-in followed Travagline’s election in the general election in November.

As magisterial district judge, Travagline will handle arraignments, set bail, preside over preliminary hearings in criminal matters and have jurisdiction over landlord-tenant cases and civil claims where the disputed amount is less than $12,000.

Travagline, the first Kline alum to be elected as judge, defeated her opponents in both the Democratic and Republican primaries in the spring of 2017 and ran unchallenged in the general election.
