Four alumni who are associates at Eckert Seamans joined firm member Peter Hoffman in writing an article on medical malpractice and other legal issues facing specialists in a recent issue of The New Gastroenterologist.
Andrew Albero, Andrew Bond, Alexandra Rogin, and Brittany Wakim, all associates in Eckert Seamans’ Professional Liability Group, co-wrote the article with Hoffman, who chairs the group and serves on the law school’s adjunct faculty.
The article explains different types of professional liability that physicians face as well as steps they can take to minimize the risk of being sued.
Albero, ’09, was a member of the law school’s inaugural class and was named a 2017 Super Lawyers’ Rising Star in Medical Malpractice. Bond, ’16, and Rogin, ’15, each served as managing editor of the Drexel Law Review. Wakim, ’14, a former member of the law school’s Trial Team, was named a 2017 Super Lawyers’ Rising Star in Civil Litigation.
Hoffman, who teaches the Law of Medical Practice, is a member of the law school advisory board and chair of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Civil Procedural Rules Committee.
