3L Sara Kirkpatrick joined prominent practitioners and jurists on a panel focused on the influence of technology on the legal landscape during the American Bar Association Business Law Section’s annual spring meeting in New Orleans on April 8.
The panel, "Help Us, Help You: Practical Advice to Advance Your Practice in a Changing Legal Community," also featured Raychelle Tasher, a judicial law clerk at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Eastern District of Missouri and president of Ms. JD, E. Christopher Johnson, Jr., former general counsel for GM and co-founder for Detroit's Center for Justice, Rights & Dignity, and Judge Elizabeth Stong of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Eastern District of New York.
Kirkpatrick discussed the value of participating in the Transactional LawMeet, where she gained practical experience that would not be possible in a traditional classroom setting. Kirkpatrick, who is completing a concentration in Business and Entrepreneurship Law, and a classmate won the Best Draft Award at the Western Regional LawMeet in March. She is a lead editor of the Drexel Law Review.
