Professor Barry Furrow will speak at the 2017 annual conference of the Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology and Bioethics at Harvard Law School on April 28.
Furrow will present a paper during a panel on Transparency in Health and Health Care: Thematic Issues, setting the stage for the overall conference topic, “Transparency in Health and Health Care: Legal and Ethical Possibilities and Limits.” He will present “Smashing into Windows: The Limits of Consumer Sovereignty in Health Care,” joining panelists from Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health, Harvard University and the Cross-Border Health Foundation.
The director of the Health Law program, Furrow is a pioneer in the field of health law and the lead author of “Health Law – Cases, Materials and Problems,” now in its seventh edition.
