Professor David DeMatteo Presents at Indiana Psychological Association Meeting

Professor David DeMatteo, director of the JD-PhD program in Law and Clinical Psychology, was a presenter at the Northern Indiana Regional Meeting of the Indiana Psychological Association at the University of Notre Dame Law School on Sept. 30.

DeMatteo discussed “Evidence for Psychologists” at the meeting, which focused on the intersection of psychology and the law.

The co-author of four books including “Forensic Mental Health Assessment: a Casebook,” DeMatteo studies psychopathy, forensic mental health assessment, drug policy and offender diversion.

DeMatteo is licensed as a psychologist in Pennsylvania, where he conducts forensic mental health assessments of juveniles and adults.  He is among a select group of professionals in the U.S. to gain Board Certification in Forensic Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology.

He teaches Mental Health Law, Expert Witnesses and Behavioral Sciences and the Law.
