Andrew Bull is among 19 young people poised to make a big difference in Philadelphia politics, according to the mobile news platform Billy Penn.
Bull was included on the list, which is sponsored by the Knight Foundation, for his many contributions in law and policy.
After completing a co-op placement over the summer with the Gov. Tom Wolf’s Office of General Counsel, Bull will graduate in December with his JD and Masters in Public Policy.
According to Billy Penn, “Bull was nominated for this list because of his work as a policy researcher on Joe Torsella's successful campaign for Pennsylvania treasurer. Bull was tasked with researching key policy and legal issues like higher education costs, immigration and retirement benefits.”
The article notes that Bull is also collaborating with University President John Fry on a book about the relationship between higher education institutions and their surrounding non-academic communities and that he is active in local community building in his neighborhood, Fairmount.
Bull provided pro bono service with the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, evaluating cases where prisoners may have been wrongly convicted.
