Professor Rachel López will present a paper on “The Judicial Expansion of American Exceptionalism” at the 6th Annual Duke Forum for Law and Social Change Symposium on March 21.
The symposium, focusing on the United States’ role in international human rights, will also feature presentations by Jordan Paust of the University of Houston Law Center and John Van Der Vyver of Emory University School of Law.
López focuses her scholarship on exploring methods of accountability for human rights violations and reforming mechanisms for transitional justice. She directs Drexel Law’s Community Lawyering Clinic.
