Professor Robert Field Covers Supreme Court Gene Patenting Case for Philadelphia Inquirer

Professor Robert Field will be covering the U.S. Supreme Court Myriad Genetics case on behalf of the Philadelphia Inquirer today. 

Field, a nationally recognized expert on health policy, previously discussed the case, which involves whether the biotech firm, Myriad Genetics, which obtained patents for two genes associated with breast cancer and a test that determines the presence of mutations linked to the disease, can retain those patents.

Field has covered major Supreme Court cases for the Inquirer before, most recently the Affordable Care Act case.  The Inquirer also hosts Field's health law and policy blog, The Field Clinic, to which 3L Erica Cohen contributes
