Professor Norman Stein joined federal and state leaders at a forum focused on pension and retirement policy and law on Sept. 14 at the New School in New York City.
Stein, a nationally known expert on pension and benefit law and senior policy advisor to the Pension Rights Center, moderated a panel on obstacles to retirement security that emerge from federal pre-emption of state action and industry opposition.
The forum, sponsored by the New School’s Schwartz Center for Economic Policy Analysis, Dēmos and the Pension Rights Center, included a variety of elected and appointed state officials from around the U.S.
