The Earle Mack School of Law at Drexel University was ranked among the Top 20 law schools in the U.S. for externship opportunities in the October 2011 issue of National Jurist Magazine.
The law school was rated #10 in the nation, based on the magazine’s analysis of data compiled by the American Bar Association.
Earle Mack is among only four East Coast law schools and the only one in Pennsylvania to appear on the Top 20 list.
The magazine notes that in 2010-2011, 222 of the law school’s 440 students completed semester-long co-op placements and year-long clinics. The ranking does not reflect pro bono service that offers additional hands-on learning opportunities and that all students complete as a graduation requirement.
“This ranking captures well the variety of experiential learning opportunities we
offer and our very strong relationships with the bench and bar,” Dean Roger
Dennis said.
