Peter Hoffman is a member of the board of directors and chair of the Professional Liability Group at Eckert, Seamans, Cherin & Mellott, LLC. He focuses his practice on professional liability including medical malpractice and legal malpractice, commercial litigation, construction, products liability, toxic torts and insurance coverage. He has handled complex antitrust, securities, class action, creditors' rights and intellectual property matters as well as ERISA and real estate litigation. 

Hoffman earned his JD from the Temple University Beasley School of Law and has an MA in Public Affairs from the State University of New York. A fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, Professor Hoffman also served on the Pennsylvania Senate Select Committee on Medical Malpractice and Gov. Rendell's Task Force on Medical Malpractice. He is an appointee to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Civil Procedural Rules Committee, has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America and has written and co-authored numerous articles and chapters in legal publications.

Hoffman has been a long-standing member of the adjunct faculty. He teaches Law of Medical Malpractice.
