    The Commercial Determinants of Population Health: The Fight Over Flavored Tobacco

    This past week in a potentially significant victory for public health, the FDA issued a long-awaited proposal to ban menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars.

    Public health advocates have long argued banning menthol cigarettes would be an important step forward in decreasing youth tobacco use and health disparities, while facing strong opposition from tobacco companies.
