Welcome to Summer 2016: The Future's Bright

June 20, 2016

Thank you to all who attended our college's Commencement and Honors Convocation on June 9. The ceremony was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the achievements of our students along their journey at Goodwin. We are exceedingly proud of our graduates and wish them much success and happiness in their future endeavors.

Since the beginning of last quarter, we are fortunate to have welcomed three new staff members. As previously announced, Director of Graduate Studies Anne Willkomm jumped right into redesigning and promoting our Master of Science in Professional Studies offering, our flagship graduate program. We're also pleased to have academic advisor Amy Gulyas supporting our Degree Completion programs, and Caitlin McCormick-Baldwin, senior academic advisor, guiding our Drexel Explorers through First-Year Exploratory Studies. These valued additions to our team give me confidence that our students are in good hands as we prepare for our incoming 2016-2017 cohorts.

Meanwhile, our Continuing Professional Education department endures as a leading provider of Lean Six Sigma and Project Management non-credit courses. We also remain connected with Sales Evolution in presenting internal and external workshops for service professionals, as well as a six-month course, Mastering the Art of Strategic Selling, launching in September.

I'd like to take this moment to express my gratitude for your individual role in supporting the Goodwin community as we wrap up our 2015-2016 academic year and push through this quarter's lazy, hazy days. While there's no rest for the weary here at Drexel, that only shows just how energized we are. Break out your shades — our outlook will be bright this summer.

Sincerely,

Tim Gilrain Signature
