As part of the Drexel Global office, Global Safety & Operations (GSO) is charged with international travel oversight for the Drexel University campus. This includes:

• Student education abroad travel
• Student non-credit experience abroad travel 
• Faculty and Staff international travel 
• All high-risk travel
• All other Drexel University related travel 

GSO is focused on streamlining processes to facilitate more efficient travel registration, review, and adjudication. Along with this, GSO provides many services including: 

• Provide health, safety and security orientations for all types of student travel 
• Provide training for faculty and staff leaders of student programs (ICA, NCEA, etc...) 
• Conduct maintenance of faculty and staff leader guide for ICA and NCEA programs
• Conduct intelligence monitoring and keeping abreast of all major and minor security issues, world-wide
• Maintain On-Call emergency assistance coverage and personally assist with student, faculty, and staff crisis situations abroad 
• Maintain best-practice based program for evaluating, assessing, and vetting all education abroad program providers and sites
• Partner across campus to ensure that all international travel meets legal, risk-management, and other regulatory requirements
