Thoughts about GES:
"On a personal level, the program helped me look back on my experiences in Japan - both positive and negative - with regards to the people I've met and how I've reacted to certain situations. I learned things I have never noticed about myself by going abroad and seeing other frames of mind, and the Global Engagement Scholars program helped me pick those apart and pull out the lessons learned."
What skills do you feel you have acquired through involvement with the Global Engagement Scholars program that other students may not have?
"Not so much a skill as general awareness, but I believe that those who enter this program really see how Drexel and Philly play into the international scene, from all of the seminars about different global issues, to how much work goes into the international opportunities fair and the global student conferences. Before I had been involved inthe program, I didn't know that any of these things were happening, and could just as easily have gone through my Drexel career without getting involved with any of them. We really are getting more and more connected with the rest of the world - all we have to do is look around and see what opportunities are out there to give us a fresh outlook on our daily lives and futures."
