Congratulations to Michelle Lawson and 2019 Mandela Fellow Joel Duah Afi on winning the Reciprocal Exchange Award!

2019 Mandela Washington Fellow, Joel Duah Afi , and Drexel faculty, Michelle Lawson, JD, MS, MHRM, MBA in non-profit management; secretary of the board of directors, Philadelphia Orchard Project were selected for a 2019-2020 reciprocal exchange award for their project " Enhancing the Built Environment to facilitate and improved neonatal and maternal care in Kukuom District, Ghana" a case study that will use built environment to operationalize and systematize a neonatal care unit in a limited resource setting by procuring and stocking basic medical equipment as well as creating a meditation space for clinicians, patients and visitors of the Kukuom District Hospital. This marks the third reciprocal exchange award that Drexel has received (2018, Dean Daniel Filler, 2019, Adam Zahn).
