Glass

Glass in the Drexel Founding Collection dates from as early as 500 BCE with pieces from ancient Rome to as late as the mid-20th century with stemware used by the US Ambassador to Spain, Anthony J. Drexel Biddle, Jr. The collection also has Venetian wineglasses engraved and gilded with the Drexel family crest, finely blown decanters with etched decoration, pressed and cut cup plates, multi-colored and faceted “Bohemian” glassware, and a small collection of Clevenger Bros. Glassworks flasks.
