Co-op, internship, work study and volunteer positions with The Drexel Collection offer students unique access to the University’s art, and provide the opportunity to learn firsthand about the care and management involved with maintaining a collection. Students gain awareness of the many careers in the museum field through experiences not available in the traditional academic setting.

What are the eligibility requirements for a position with The Drexel Collection?
Requirements are different for each position in The Drexel Collection, please check the individual job descriptions for more specific information. In general a curiosity and interest in fine and decorative arts or museums is preferred as well as some course study in art history or arts administration.
How can I apply?
A cover letter and resume can be sent to Lynn Clouser Waddell at firstname.lastname@example.org. Include job title/type of position in the subject line. Additional application materials may be needed depending on the position. For work study positions please check the Federal Work Study page and for Co-op positions please visit the Steinbright Career Development Center for any additional application materials.
When is the application due?
Summer co-op applications are due by April 1st. All other position applications are accepted throughout the academic year.
Will I receive notification on whether my application materials have been received?
How and when will I know whether I’ve been selected for an interview?
Applicants should receive a response within three weeks of submitting an application.
Will I be notified if I am not selected for an interview or an internship position?
Yes. The Drexel Collection will contact you in the event that you are not selected for an interview.
How will I receive correspondence from the Collection?
The preferred method of correspondence is email.
When will I know if I have been selected for an internship?
The Drexel Collection will send an acceptance letter within one to two weeks of your interview.
Are Drexel Collection positions compensated?
The Drexel Collection summer co-op is a paid, full-time position. Work study positions are paid through the Federal Work Study
program. Please visit the Work Study website for information on pay rates. Internships and volunteer positions are unpaid. Students earn credits for the Museum Leadership Practicum Course.
