Dornsife Students Selected to Present at the College of Physician’s Poster Event

Students from various degree levels at Dornsife were chosen to present their research among peers from nine different schools in the Philadelphia region.

On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, several Dornsife School of Public Health (DSPH) students presented their work at The College of Physicians of Philadelphia's Public Health and Preventive Medicine’s Student Poster Session for 2019. They were selected to showcase their research, along with that of other students from nine different schools in the Philadelphia region. Undergraduate, masters, doctoral, medical, and dental program student research was included.

Congratulations to the following DSPH presenters: Sharon Dei-Tumi, MPH candidate; Gabrielle DiFiore, MPH candidate; Nishita Dsouza, MPH, PhD student; Mariah Mennano, BS ’20; Elizabeth Mintz, BS ’19; Maho Okumura, MPH candidate; Udara Perera, MPH, DrPH candidate; Jamile Tellez Lieberman, MPH, DrPH candidate. Collectively, their research covered a diverse range of public health issues (see full list below) from investigating the Zika virus in Philadelphia, to improving menstrual hygiene for women in Africa.

James Buehler, MD, clinical professor in the department of Health Management and Policy at DSPH and chair of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia's Public Health and Preventive Medicine section, was on-hand to support students at the event.
