Meet the 2025 Dornsife Global Development Scholars

This month the Office of Global Health at the Dornsife School of Public Health introduced their 2025 cohort of Dornsife Global Development Scholars.

The scholars will each spend 2-6 months working with World Vision International on a range of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects.

Host countries include Indonesia, Lesotho, Tanzania and Zambia. 

Here are this year's scholars, who represent five schools and colleges across Drexel:

  • Milan Howell (Drexel School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems)
  • Niya Manning (Drexel College of Arts and Sciences)
  • Siddhartha Peri (Drexel College of Medicine)
  • Viva Paintsil (Drexel College of Medicine)
  • Vivek Babu (Drexel College of Medicine)

The next application for the Dornsife Global Development Scholars Program will open in fall 2026. All Drexel undergraduates and graduates of all majors are eligible and encouraged to apply. The program recently celebrated its 10th year.
