Tom Hipper Presents During FEMA Webinar on Vulnerable Populations On November 24, 2015, CPHRC Program Manager, Tom Hipper, spoke during a public webinar hosted by the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Individual and Community Preparedness Division, entitled "Community Discussion: Preparing Individuals Disproportionately Impacted by Disasters." The webinar focused on nationwide disaster preparedness efforts to serve populations that have a higher vulnerability die to risk factors related to language, cultural isolation, immigration status, and national identity. One of four presenters from across the nation, Tom discussed and demonstrated how to utilize DiversityPreparedness.org., CPHRC's national resource center on advancing emergency preparedness efforts for culturally diverse communities.
