CPHRC Organizes Risk, Crisis, and Emergency Communication Trainings Featuring Dr. Vincent T. Covello
Dr. Vincent Covello, founder and Director of the Center for Risk Communication, was the featured facilitator of a series of four identical trainings on risk, crisis, and emergency communication held throughout the state of Pennsylvania. Dr. Covello is an internationally recognized trainer, researcher, consultant, and expert in emergency, crisis, and risk communications. He has authored over 150 scientific articles on the topic, and is currently an advisor to the World Health Organization Director General. Sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and organized by the Center for Public Health Readiness and Communication, the workshops took place at locations in Southwest Pennsylvania, Northeast Pennsylvania, Southeast Pennsylvania, and Central Pennsylvania from November 9, 2015 through November 20, 2015. Over 100 public health and healthcare professionals participated in the trainings.
