Dr. Chernak Gives Keynote Address to the Annual Meeting of the Pennsylvania Society of Healthcare Risk Managers Director of CPHRC, Dr. Esther Chernak, gave the keynote address to the Annual Meeting of the Pennsylvania Society of Healthcare Risk Managers, held on April 23rd, 2015 at the ECRI Institute in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. The title of her presentation was “Managing Healthcare Risks in the Era of Emerging Infections.” This was the annual meeting of risk managers for healthcare systems and hospitals in Pennsylvania. Dr. Chernak discussed recent and historical infectious disease threats, their impact on the healthcare environment, and ways that risk managers and healthcare systems can protect against those threats.
