Data from researchers at The Center for Firefighter Research and Safety Trends (FIRST) at the Dornsife School of Public Health was mentioned in a July 1 Slate article about violence toward fire fighters and continued trainings and other steps to improve safety in the aftermath of the Idaho shooting.

Additionally, Jennifer Taylor, PhD, Arthur L. and Joanne B. Frank Professor and director of FIRST, was interviewed in a June 30 KREM-TV (CBS-Spokane, Washington) segment about this data.
