Nursing Home's Coronavirus Lockdown Keeps Wife From Her Husband of 58 Years
March 11, 2020
Yvonne Michael, ScD, an associate professor in the Dornsife School of Public Health, was quoted in a March 10 NBC News story about efforts at nursing homes to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Michael said nursing homes that ban visitors might need to plan additional social activities to keep residents from feeling isolated. But that won’t help family members on the outside. “At the end of the day, it might be harder for the person outside the nursing home than the one inside of it.”
The story was also covered by Today.com and AOL.com.
