- How vaccines work
- The indications for using vaccines in staff and residents of long-term care facilities (LTCFs)
- Issues related to the use of vaccines including the history of vaccines, vaccine development and vaccine safety
- Misconceptions about vaccines and addressing vaccine hesitancy
After completing the Vaccines micro-credential, graduates will be able to:
- Explain how vaccines prevent infections.
- Describe types of vaccines used in long-term care for residents and for staff.
- Describe measures that are taken to ensure safety of vaccines.
Who should enroll?
This micro-credential is intended for clinicians and non-clinicians in infection prevention and control, emergency preparedness, leadership and management positions.
