Partners

Civic engagement is embedded in all that we do at Drexel University, including how we teach and learn, conduct business, and work to build a shared future with local community partners.

Drexel collaborates with neighborhood and civic associations, K-12 schools, local government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and others to provide hundreds of unique civic engagement opportunities for our students every year.

We have implemented an employee volunteer program that gives all Drexel employees 16 paid hours each year to use in service opportunities, either as individuals or as department-wide projects. Our students and faculty are always looking for ways to establish creative collaboration with our campus neighbors.

Partner With Us

Volunteer and service opportunities available to the Drexel Community are offered and listed through the Drexel Galaxy engagement portal, managed by the Lindy Center for Civic Engagement. If you have a volunteer opportunity you would like to be listed, please contact Rebecca Lefevre, Associate Director for Student Engagement.

If you have a new partnership or collaboration opportunity to connect with Drexel students, staff, or faculty, please contact Rachel Viddy, Director of Partnerships and Programs.

Community Partnerships

As a good neighbor, Drexel is engaged in serving the West Philadelphia neighborhoods of Powelton Village and Mantua. Through collaborations with local residents, non-profit organizations, city agencies, and corporations, Drexel supports a portfolio of community initiatives, tied to the University's academic mission, designed to improve the quality of life for all local residents.
