They created a device that translates the pitch and volume of a singer’s performance into a work of visual art. The device will take center stage at Vox Ex Machina, Opera Philadelphia’s 50th Anniversary Gala, on Sept. 13, creating a one-of-a-kind concert experience for the audience.

The Dornsife Center for Neighborhood Partnerships was profiled in a Jan. 29 National Public Radio (NPR) story about its involvement in the Mantua community. Lucy Kerman, PhD, vice provost for university and community partnerships, and Rose Samuel-Evans, association director of community partnerships, were quoted in the story, which also mentioned President John A. Fry.
