ExCITe Center
The ExCITe Center is Drexel’s transdisciplinary hub for research and creative collaboration between Drexel faculty and local neighborhood partners to advance civic engagement through innovative technology, education, and cultural pursuits.
The ExCITe Center hosts a range of transdisciplinary research groups, teams, and projects, and regularly hosts events showcasing their work. The Center hosts the Drexel Digital Navigators, our University’s nationally-recognized program for digital equity and inclusion in Philadelphia. It is also home to research labs and student organizations:
- The Entrepreneurial Game Studio, Westphal College of Media Arts & Design
- The Music Entertainment Technology Lab, College of Engineering
- The ILLEST Lab (Integrated Learning Linking Engineering, Science & Technology), School of Education
- Theme Park Engineering & Design Group (TPED), Drexel student organization
ExCITe also provides educational programs such as STEAM summer camps for Middle School and High School students, Undergraduate Co-op opportunities, Graduate student research groups, and professional development workshops and conferences.
