Who do we help?
The Behavioral Medicine clinic can assist those who are living with chronic medical conditions or those experiencing health-related issues that may be impacting their quality of life, relationships and emotional well-being. There are a number of medical diagnoses--such as cancer, heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes, and significant life events (e.g., accidents, surgery, trauma, pregnancy, miscarriage) that can contribute to various psychological symptoms. Examples of these symptoms include anxiety, depression, irritability, insomnia and relationship challenges. These medical conditions and health-related life events can be exacerbated by and/or contribute to the experience of chronic daily hassles and significant life stress.
What type of treatment do we offer?
We provide services to adults who suffer from a variety of medical conditions or health-related issues that are impacting their quality of life. Individual treatment plans that utilize evidence-based approaches will be developed for each client in collaboration with their clinician.Our clinicians use evidence-based treatments to help you decrease the symptoms you’ve struggled with, and gain the tools you’ll need to continue functioning better in everyday life.
