  • Three Drexel Faculty Members on Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researchers List

    Three Drexel University faculty members earned the distinction of being ranked among the most cited researchers in their respective fields according to Thomson Reuters’ “Highly Cited Researchers 2014” list. Gordon Richards, PhD, a professor in theCollege of Arts and Sciences, Yury Gogotsi, PhD, Distinguished University and Trustee Chair professor in the College of Engineering, and Peter DeCarlo, PhD, an assistant professor in the College of Engineering and College of Arts and Sciences, were included on the list of 3,215 distinguished researchers compiled by the international media and information company.

  • Richards Recognized as "Highly Cited Researcher 2014"

    Gordon Richards, associate professor of Physics, CoAS, has been recognized as a "Highly Cited Researcher 2014" by Thomson-Reuters. According to ScienceWatch, “spotlighting some of the standout researchers of the last decade, Thomson Reuters has launched Highly Cited Researchers, a compilation of influential names in science.” Highly Cited Researchers 2014, as described by Thomson-Reuters, represents some of world’s leading scientific minds. Over three thousand researchers earned the distinction by writing the greatest numbers of reports officially designated by Essential Science Indicatorsâ„  as Highly Cited Papers— ranking among the top 1% most cited for their subject field and year of publication, earning them the mark of exceptional impact.
