Life Sciences Leadership Learning Pathway

Business decisions in the life sciences industry require graduates to be skilled in data analytics, digital transformation, leadership, integration and strategy — many skills that aren’t science- or biology-related. In response, Drexel LeBow has created a set of graduate courses designed to prepare you to succeed at the intersection of business and life science.
Curriculum
The Life Sciences Leadership (LSL) Learning Pathway curriculum was developed to help students build skills and gain a deep understanding of the life sciences sector, including its unique dynamics, regulatory environment and emerging trends. Through the pathway’s coursework, students will become familiar with drug development processes, clinical trials, intellectual property rights and healthcare policies.
Courses
Partnered with leading industry experts, LeBow faculty deliver course experiences that are current with the dynamic and high-growth life sciences industry. The course pathway is comprised of three courses that are open to all Drexel graduate students and alumni and can be taken in any order:
Business Drivers for Life Sciences (INDS T680) - Currently running in Winter 2024
3.0 Credits
Examines human health and supporting industries such as Pharmaceutical Life Science and Healthcare Systems, delves into the value chain — discovery, manufacturing, sales and marketing, and compliance — and analyzes medical and bio technology’s impact on new age medicines while exploring patient engagement, risk and regulatory, and compliance for future care delivery.
Life Sciences Data and Analytics (INDS T680) - Offered in Spring 2024
3.0 Credits
Explores elements that collectively contribute to informed critical decision-making, including data strategy and governance, data management, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence, unlocking valuable insights from vast datasets and driving innovation in the life sciences industry.
Life Sciences Digital Transformation (INDS T680) - Offered in Summer 2024
3.0 Credits
Focuses on digital innovation and technologies, including the distinction between digital health and digital therapeutics, and how it’s revolutionizing patient care and treatment, while also exploring the digital workplace which optimizes productivity and collaboration, propelling the life sciences industry towards a tech-driven future.
