*Please note that while course content can be applied to a wide variety of disciplines, it is not meant to replace field-specific career training or guidance which students should seek from their department or program and through one-on-one advising through SCDC. This course is not meant for PhD students preparing for an academic job search (the course focuses on resume, not CV) or for students who already have access to COOP 500 or similar career prep courses within their department or program.

As a reminder, SCDC offers one-on-one career counseling and services to graduate students. Visit the SCDC Career Services for Graduate Students website for more information. The video on the Graduate College website also provides an overview of SCDC services specifically for graduate students.
