Why take Foundations of Career Management?
Foundations of Career Management (FCM) is a course for graduate students who have a good understanding of their post-graduation career path and want to take their resume writing, interviewing and networking skills to the next level. We will also cover other important facets of the career development process such as values aligned work, cover letter development, personal branding and mentorship.
This course is intended for graduate students who do not already have the opportunity to enroll in COOP 500 offered by their department. Further, it is not meant for PhD students planning to pursue a career in academia, postdoctoral fellowship, etc.
The Graduate College is planning to develop additional co-curricular professional development courses in the coming year. We welcome your feedback and collaboration.
