License servers for network-licensed software
About network licensing
A network license (sometimes known as a floating, concurrent, or server license) lets multiple devices share a software license. The number of devices that can run the software at the same time is limited by the number of licenses available. When you open software that is licensed by a network license, a license server provides an available license to the software. When you close the software, the license returns to the server.
License servers and network-licensed software
Westphal IT manages several license servers to provide software licenses to our students, faculty, and professional staff. Software products licensed by a network license and the number of available licenses are shown in the table below.
If you don't have the license you need, contact Westphal IT for help in getting that license. Or, if an activation screen appears, you can try to add a license server address yourself.
For a list of our license server addresses, see License server addresses for Westphal network-licensed software.
