Two Drexel Interiors Students Selected for 2021 Metropolis Future 100

Interior Architecture & Design students Hadiya Bynoe-Seabron and Tiffany England

April 9, 2021

Two students from Drexel’s Interior Architecture & Design program, Hadiya Bynoe-Seabron and Tiffany England, were chosen for the inaugural 2021 Metropolis Future 100. Launched by the popular Metropolis Magazine, this recognition honors top interior design and architecture students graduating this year.

The selected students were nominated by their instructors and mentors, representing some of the best design programs in the U.S. and Canada. According to the magazine, “These students are a diverse group, with many identifying as BIPOC and LGBTQIA, who advocate for openness, equity, and inclusion through their work and extracurriculars. They are leaders on their campuses who are sure to be forces in the industry.”

Hadiya and Tiffany were both featured among the top interior designer graduate students. Hadiya creates her eclectic interiors by layering a mix of organic and synthetic materials, demonstrating a refined design sensibility, and bringing aspects of the natural world into the built environments. For her thesis she is exploring questions of home and belonging in the context of hyper-mobility and intersecting identities. Tiffany has a distinct design aesthetic that is experimental and playful. Unconventional, though surprisingly feasible, interventions make her work delightful. Her thesis project takes up questions about thresholds between interior and exterior in an effort to understand how people can more fully connect with nature and community.
