Interior Design Student Anna Fowler Wins Donghia Scholarship

July 15, 2019

Anna Fowler, a senior Interior Design student, has been awarded a $30,000 Angelo Donghia Senior Scholarship in Interior Design, the largest interior design scholarship in the United States. Fowler is one of only twelve students nationwide awarded the scholarship based on a juried competition of portfolio submissions open to all accredited institutions.

Fowler’s project, Ilia Textiles, presented her commercial studio design project for a company that makes sustainable textiles out of unconventional materials. The entire project focused on WELL Building, LEED Sustainability, and human centered design principles. Anna is currently the Resource Coordinator at Daroff Design and a portfolio of her work is showcased on her website.

The Angelo Donghia Foundation sustains the work and legacy of one of the most sought after and influential interior designers of the past century. Drawing upon a “concern for living,” Donghia is a leader in the luxury furnishings industry. Their Student Scholarship Program in Interior Design awards scholarships to undergraduate seniors in schools of interior design located throughout the United States. Past winners from Drexel University include Amanda James now the Director of Design at Corporate Interiors.
