Nicole Feller-Johnson, a ’18 alum of the Design Research and Fashion Design graduate programs, debuted her collection in Moscow at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia ContrFashion SS 2019. Feller-Johnson’s avant-garde collection, “Lit From Within,” features various knit textile innovations, including the first-ever knitted dress of garment-capable 3D printed yarn.

Feller-Johnson is a digital knitwear designer, design researcher, fashion and costume designer, and stylist. She specializes in complex construction digitally fabricated knits with a body conscious silhouette and intricate surface embellishment, utilizing advanced techniques in 3D printing, laser cutting, Shima Seiki knitting, and tambour embroidery.

Feller-Johnson’s work was also shown at the Libertae Fashion Show Gala, “The Colors That Inspire,” in October 2018. Her Design Research graduate thesis work, "Knit Evolution in Digital Couture," was chosen as 2018 Research Excellence in “Most Original and Creative Research” from Drexel University. In addition, Feller-Johnson was chosen in 2018 by the Council of Fashion Designers of America as one of the top 60 graduating fashion designers from fashion design schools all around the world.
