Life for a houseful of twenty-somethings is turned upside down in the seventh episode of Off Campus, the award-winning sitcom written and produced by Cinema & Television students. When roommate Hailey’s college sorority Big Sister shows up unexpectedly, her disruptive behaviors lead to fiascos for everyone…until she reveals the real reason for her visit. While the latest episode of Off Campus will premiere on January 8 at 8:00pm on DUTV, Comcast channels 54 and 62 and Verizon channel 37, here is your exclusive opportunity to get a sneak peek of the entire premiere. Cast with professional actors, Off Campus has also been broadcast by CBS’ The CW Philly, and has received three awards from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of NATAS (National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences), the parent organization of the Emmy Awards. The filming of episode 7 featured a special on-set visit from Mitch Hurwitz, creator of Arrested Development, while he was at Drexel for a public lecture. Somewhat of a cross between Friends and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Off Campus provides a lighthearted and honest look at the world that America’s recent graduates face in today’s often turbulent and confusing times. The show is written, produced, directed, shot, and edited by a crew of more than 50 Cinema & Television students under the supervision of Television program director, Andrew Susskind. Producing Off Campus takes a year-long effort and the experience has been designed to offer students the closest possible approximation of producing a network quality sitcom. Our students are currently in production on the eighth season.
