Named one of the “100 Most Creative People in Business” (Fast Company) and coined the “King of Quirk” (Forbes Magazine), entrepreneur Bradford Shellhammer is the founder of the innovative online retail company Fab.com. He is now the founder, CEO and Chief Curator of Bezar, a new online marketplace that provides emerging designers from around the world with a platform to sell their products, as well as a place for established brands to launch new collections. On Tuesday, May 5, Shellhammer will visit Westphal to discuss his unique vision that merges passions for design, fashion and the arts.

In conversation with Design Department Head Robert Gruber, Shellhamer will meet with students at 5:30pm URBN Center room 349 (3501 Market Street) to discuss online design retail models and provide insight into creative direction and brand consulting. Most recently the Chief Design Officer of Backcountry, Shellhammer’s newest venture, Bezar, spotlights the work of emerging designers of graphic art, jewelry, homeware and accessories.

He served as the Chief Design Officer for Fab.com for four years. Fab was born from his colorful outlook on life which was the driving force behind the company’s spirit and aesthetic. He led and inspired diverse teams including merchandising, editorial, graphic design, photography, user-experience (UX), technology, and customer service.
