Graphic Design

May 27, 2014

The Graphic Design senior show is an exhibition of outstanding work that represents the diversity of the program's curriculum. Examples of book design, packaging, publication design, web design, environmental graphic design (exhibition & wayfinding), and motion graphics, as well as carefully researched and artfully produced senior thesis and capstone projects, will be exhibited in the Leonard Pearlstein Gallery (3401 Filbert Street) on June 12 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A private preview for industry professionals will take place from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm.

Included in the exhibition will be two Creativity 43 Award-winning projects: "Skirkanich Hall," a Gold Award-winning newsletter designed by Michael Garzarelli, and the Silver Award-winning "Baxter Bros." restaurant branding by Jackie Schlindwein. Additionally, Luis Quevedo and Gerre Mae Barbecal, who were both selected as “Students to Watch in 2014” by Graphic Design USA magazine (GD USA), are among the exhibiting seniors.

This year the program is particularly proud to include interdisciplinary projects that showcase work created by our seniors in collaboration with such local partners as the Pennsylvania Ballet, the Philadelphia History Museum and ConKerr Cancer, among others.
