Return of the History Channel

January 14, 2011

Three top development executives from the History Channel will be at Westphal on Wednesday, January 26th as a follow up to the visit of Nancy Dubuc, President of the History and Lifetime Networks.  The executives will discuss the development process which the History Channel uses to bring a show from the idea stage to air. Our friends from History will also hear and give feedback to students on their ideas for television programs. The event is at 11 AM in Stein Auditorium.

Students interested in pitching their projects to the History Channel executives should e-mail their pitches to Karen Curry, the Executive Director of the Kal and Lucille Rudman Institute, by January 20th at kac387@drexel.edu. Karen will be sharing the pitches in advance with our guests who will select a limited number to which they’ll give feedback. Pleased keep in mind that the History Channel will likely respond only to pitches for non-fiction shows and we recommend that your pitch be tailored to the style and audience of the History Channel and its sister channels.
