Welcome Back From The Dean

The winter holidays have come and gone way too fast. I hope yours were
filled with happy days in the company of family and friends. As we
settle in for winter’s short, cold days, we’ve assembled dozens of
events -- concerts, theatre, art and fashion exhibitions, dance, guest
lecturers and film screenings – that promise to be entertaining and
informative. Many are free and all are open to the public. We hope
you’ll fight off the urge to spend all your evenings within the cozy
environs of your home, dorm or apartment and come out and join us.
Future editions of this newsletter will feature details on all these
events as well as the many accomplishments of our faculty and
students. We ended the year with Fashionista.com ranking our Fashion program as the 16th best in the world, with only three American schools ranked above us. In 2010, The Princeton Review ranked Drexel Gaming as third in the country. Design Intelligence ranked
our undergrad and grad Interior Design programs as top ten nationally,
and a number of sites identified our Graphic Design program as one of
the country’s ten best. And, Billboard Magazine highlighted
our Music Industry program. We have high hopes to build upon these
accomplishments in the New Year and we hope 2011 will be a standout
year for all of us.
