Madko Goes Surreal

February 12, 2011

Synth Syrcus logo with man in mask playing the guitarMusic Industry's MadKo concerts will present a concert at the Trocadero Balcony featuring Synth Sircus, The Skin Cells and W.C. Lindsay. The all-ages show, produced entirely by Music Industry students, is on Saturday, February 12th at 1 PM. Synth Sircus is Philadelphia's all-star synthesizer collective featuring a rotating, ever-evolving and growing cast of musicians. Their shows feature a collective of area bands that is part science experiment and part improvisation, with mesmerizing visualizations and audience participation. We consider W.C. Lindsay something of a musical prodigy.  He's only a freshman at Drexel, but he has been crafting his unique blend of beat heavy electronica and hook-filled pop for years.  W.C. is also a regular at the Late Night Series. The Skin Cells are an original band arriving on the scene with an ecstatic and disjointed style that features loud guitars, pounding drums and a roomful of singing people.  The show is sure to be one of the more unusual concerts produced by MadKo, so please come out and see this student-produced concert of very hip music. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased the day of at the Trocadero Box Office.
